The opportunity presented itself to help set up the communications and HR department as a hybrid department which was something I had been doing in previous roles – but this was my opportunity to make it mine!

Working in a hotel, I was speaking to ICHB and booking in their policyholders. I saw an advert in a local magazine for a rental claims handler at the company and the rest as they say is history!

Why did you join ICAB?
I have worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years and instructed ICAB on many of my large loss claims. Alternative accommodation is the most important part of any initial claim when a property is uninhabitable and wanted to be part of an organisation which provided that service. I felt I could bring my knowledge and skills to ICAB and enhance the excellent customer service we already provide.
