Housing
Hotel
ICAB was contacted by a large Housing Association in the south of Britain when a resident had suffered a leak in her flat which needed to be repaired urgently. She had to be temporarily moved from her home for a couple of days whilst the repairs took place and was understandably extremely nervous about leaving as she has a disability.
Joseph from the ICAB Priority and Housing team was assigned her case and immediately conducted the search for a local hotel with an accessible room. This also needed to include an evening meal and parking, as per the instructions from the Housing Association. He called the resident with his findings and spoke with her at length in a calm and empathetic manner, building up a great rapport, meanwhile reassuring her that ICAB would arrange everything for her seamlessly and with as little fuss as possible.
ICAB arranges all types of emergency accommodation ranging from long term for major works and are also adept at arranging short term immediate accommodation for sometimes as little as one night, using our vast network of country wide hotels.
The resident was extremely grateful for the care and attention that Joseph paid to her. Even during her time of crisis, she took the time to post a really fantastic 5*Trust Pilot review:
“I was called as promised this morning by the very pleasant, personable and professional Joseph. He completely understood my disabilities and subsequent needs, offering me the closest room available, with everything I need. He then messaged me further to provide meals as well as the accommodation so as to make my decant as easy as possible for me. He was a pleasure to deal with – I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ICAB to anyone needing emergency accommodation whilst their homes are being repaired. He couldn’t have been more helpful; I feel very safe and reassured that he will help me through this intrusive experience to the utmost and continue to go out of his way to help me until I’m safely back in my repaired flat. Excellent work, Joseph. Many, many thanks.”
